What makes induction position coding system technology unique?
The non-contact angle detection takes place exclusively by determining the unique position of steel pins. The inductive position coding system does not use magnetized targets or strips. It is therefore not subject to changes in residual magnetism due to fluctuations in temperature, nor does it run the risk of loss of functionality or failure due to adhesion of metallic particles.
The coding system provides the absolute value of the detected angle position. An accurate absolute position is reported immediately, even after reconnecting the supply voltage. The accuracy of the reported position is maintained even if the sensor is moved while power is switched off. With this capability, the inductive position coding system is suitable for both occasional operation (when energy-saving is important) as well as for use in mobile equipment where constant power is not always assured.
The extremely robust inductive position coding system is particularly suitable for installation directly onto the bearing or rotary joint. The angle movement is detected directly at the point of rotation.
